Summer Camp at Monastery Stables: August 10–21, 2026

What an incredible two weeks at Monastery Stables! From August 10–21, seven wonderful girls spent their days learning, exploring, creating, and—most importantly—building confidence and connections with horses.

This camp is part of our continued effort to open Monastery's grounds and programming to more of the community—sharing this special place with new families and giving more young people the chance to experience horses up close.

Throughout camp, the girls learned how to ride, groom, care for, and sketch horses, along with many other cool and hands-on horse activities. Each day was full of horsemanship, responsibility, teamwork, and the special bond between horse and human—plus plenty of laughter and fun along the way!

A huge thank you goes to our amazing teachers and volunteers, our inspiring guest speakers, and all the parents and friends who supported the girls throughout camp. Your time, encouragement, knowledge, and enthusiasm helped make these two weeks so meaningful.

And, of course, we cannot forget the stars of the show! A very special thank-you to our wonderful camp horses: Rio, Jack, Violet, Toby, Fleur, and Zara. These six horses shared their patience, personality, and plenty of unforgettable moments with our campers.

We are so proud of the seven girls and all they accomplished. They left camp with new skills, wonderful memories, and—hopefully—a lifelong love and appreciation for these amazing animals.

As we continue growing our public programs, camps like this one are just the beginning of what we hope to bring to more families in the years ahead.
