Come walk the grounds, see the horses, and explore one of Philadelphia's most extraordinary historic sites. Our stables and grounds are open to the public — contact us for current visiting hours and access information.
Bring a group
We welcome schools, community organizations, nonprofits, and groups of all kinds. If you would like to coordinate a group visit, volunteer day, or private tour of the historic grounds and barn, we would love to make it happen when we can. Group visits are coordinated in advance and subject to availability — please reach out and we will do our best to find a time that works.
Host an event here
Imagine your event on six acres of historic land in the Wissahickon — stone buildings dating to 1747, open grounds, and the quiet presence of horses. Monastery Stables & Community Grounds is available for private events, gatherings, and special experiences on a very limited basis, subject to availability and organizational capacity. Rental fees go directly to the care of our horses, our barn, and the restoration of our historic property.
